- Quake 2 Remastered will be announced next week, at QuakeCon.
According to the latest reports, Quake 2 Remastered is coming to Xbox, and the game, which will be called just Quake 2, without the Remastered title, will reportedly be announced at QuakeCon, which is scheduled to happen on August 11-13.
Quake 2, which is a classic FPS, was released in 1997, and it’s still played by a large community of people. The original Quake even made its way on Xbox Series X and S consoles a couple of years ago, and people were also pleased about the news back then.
So it’s only natural that Quake 2 the Remastered version should be released on Xbox consoles. Lately, older games have been enjoying a lot of success on Xbox, starting with the old Call of Duty games and the original Gears of War trilogy.
When Microsoft fixed the matchmaking servers on both games, the games and the Xbox consoles have become the top-selling games and consoles for a week, back in July. So it’s clear that people love old games. Quake 2 is a classic, so bringing it back to consoles will most likely have a lot of commercial success. Here’s what we know about it.
