The new Edge update brought extensions to Android, but that’s not the only change. The desktop client got an update as well, and it has a few interesting features to offer.

The new update brings some visual improvements related to the Sidebar, so let’s see what the fuss is about.

You can now rearrange the Sidebar buttons in the Edge Canary

First spotted by a user Leopeva64, it seems that the latest Canary build allows you to finally rearrange icons on the Sidebar.

As you can see from his tweet, all you have to do is drag and drop the buttons to rearrange them. We have noticed that there are a few bugs, but that’s expected from the Canary version of Edge.

It’s great to see that Microsoft is paying attention to user feedback since this feature has been requested for a while.

Speaking of which, the company is also working on security issues and they have addressed CVE-2024-21399 in Edge recently.

We don’t know anything about the release date of this feature, but we hope to see it soon. One thing is for certain, following user feedback is a great way to make Edge more popular than ever, and soon it might overtake other browsers.
