- The app is in the initial phases, according to an insider.

Edge is Microsoft’s native browser and despite its low popularity among Internet users, this browser is one of the most powerful and efficient on the market. It has Bing, which is an AI tool capable of many things: you can get its input on pictures you upload, for example.
And Microsoft doesn’t stop here. There is a dedicated program, Microsoft Edge Canary, where the Redmond-based tech giant is implementing experimental and new features on it every week.
Take this week, for example. A new feature allows you to turn Edge into Edge Photo, and you can effectively use it as you would use the Photo Viewer app. This Reddit user spotted it, and it looks like another way for Edge to show its versatility.
Most likely, the feature will be available to the general public in the next Edge updates, in the following months. For now, it has quite a simple design.
What is Edge Photo & how can you use it
Edge Photo is basically Edge transformed in the Photo Viewer app. The design, for now, is quite simple, but it seems that the feature is in its initial phases. So it will get a revamp in the following weeks, before arriving to live servers.
As you can see, its design is minimal. There is a preview pane on the right side of it, and going through the pictures is similar to using the Photo Viewer app. You can also notice an Edge Photo logo on the bottom-left side of the app.
You can use it by dragging and dropping photos into your Edge. Then the browser automatically transforms into Edge Photo. There is no apparent limit to how many photos you can drag there.
At the bottom-right of the screen, there is an icon. You can actually pop out Edge Photo and use it independently of Edge if you want.
With this being said, keep in mind that the feature is still in its initial phases. So it is prone to changes and improvements in the future, but it does look very exciting.
