Xbox Elite Controller 3

There is a lot of hype around the upcoming Xbox Elite Controller 3 and for good reason: the previous versions of the controller are some of the most popular Xbox controllers around, so Xbox users everywhere have expectations about the new version.

It seems that Xbox doesn’t want to disappoint the community, so the company is asking users what they want to see in the new Xbox controller. According to Xbox enthusiast, @IdleSloth84_, the company recently took to the Xbox Insider app to ask users for feedback by completing a survey.

The Xbox enthusiast shared the questions of the survey, which you can read below:

  • How do you typically adjust the volume during a gaming session and how often?
  • How many profiles do you use and would you like more or fewer profiles?
  • Do you use the paddles and what paddles do you use?
  • What position do you keep the trigger lock and how often do you adjust it?
  • What cosmetic customization are you interested in (Colours for grips, battery door, customizable LED lighting)?
  • What functional customization are you interested in (Thumbstick module upgrade (Hall Effect), Thumbstick & D-pad height and shape)?
  • How often would you change the look of your controller (swapping face plate, thumbsticks, paddles, buttons)?
  • Which controller do you use most frequently when playing games?
  • How often do you adjust the volume during a game session?
  • How do you typically adjust the volume during a gaming session?
  • Which of the following COSMETIC customization are you interested in?

Based on these questions, the Xbox enthusiast concluded that the Xbox Elite Controller 3 might incorporate capabilities such as colored grips, volume control, and many more.

The new Elite V3 controller could have Hall Effect thumbsticks, Coloured grips, Swapping face plates, Volume control, and lots more upgrades.

Xbox Elite Controller 3: Everything we know so far

If we take into consideration Xbox’s survey, it seems that the company wants to please the community by giving them all they need to have the best gaming experience on Xbox.

And this is a noble goal. Xbox already took the gaming industry by storm by releasing the popular Xbox Game Pass that boosted the console’s popularity. In regions such as the US, Xbox is the reigning console due to the subscription that allows users to have access to thousands of video games at a decent monthly price.Xbox Elite Controller 3

The company wants to do the same thing with the hotly-anticipated Xbox Elite Controller 3. While we don’t have a mockup of how it will look, or any of the specifications, or price details of the new controller, this device is likely to incorporate a lot of capabilities users are asking for.

We’re talking about LED customizations (and there is a great Xbox Controller with RGB lights, if you’re into light-infused controllers, but unfortunately it is a wired controller), volume control, Hall effect sticks, and so many more.

If the new Elite controller doesn’t have Hall Effect sticks that would be a massive fail.

It’s too late to say that the new Xbox Elite Controller 3 will be released this year, but 2024 could be the perfect contender for a release date. When it comes to price, we don’t have any details, but we speculate it might cost around $200, as the current Xbox Elite Controller 2 costs $179.

But we’ll have to wait and see. In the meantime, if you’re enlisted in the Xbox Insider app, it might be a good idea to take the survey.
