The last couple of months have been very exciting for gamers everywhere, but especially for those who play on Xbox. Diablo IV arrived on Xbox, and it was well received by the gaming community. Starfield, one of the most anticipated games of the year, will be released in September on Windows and Xbox. And you can get it for free if you know your way around Microsoft Rewards.

Over 1000 new games are in development for the Xbox console, and Game Pass will come to GeForce Now, which will allow you to play your Xbox games from everywhere, on any device available.

Xbox also has the Xbox Ambassadors program, which is a sort of program that you can join, especially if you’re an Xbox gamer. Once you’re there, you can guide others on how to play in Xbox, while providing a safe space for them to do so.

And it seems the program also rewards those who join the Xbox community. For example, this user received a message from the Xbox Ambassador program letting them that a Diablo IV ultimate edition is waiting for them.

But does the Xbox Ambassadors program give you free games? Let’s take a deep dive and see what’s going on.

Free games with the Xbox Ambassador program

Officially, the program doesn’t say anywhere that it’s giving away free games, especially unique editions of games. The user received an Ultimate Edition of Diablo IV for free through the Xbox Ambassador Program, and they actually verified its legitimacy with Xbox support.xbox ambassadors free games

Xbox validated it, and the program said that indeed, they have been the ones who sent the gift. However, they also somehow said that a friend might just sent a Diablo IV gift through the Xbox Ambassador program to the user.

I did I went back and forth with support just to check its legitimacy and they said it was legit! I’m installing it right now. I asked support why they’re sending out free ambassador gifts and they just gave me the generic spiel about how “Xbox is always trying to hold up their gamers and support them for all they do for the community” but they also mentioned that it could have been a anonymous gift from a friend as well so I don’t know for sure but it’s legit!

Here’s what the Xbox users are saying about it

However, others on the Reddit thread reported that you can get free access to games on the program. Some of them even said that if you, as an Xbox gamer, write reviews for games, the program might suddenly reward you with free games.

They seem to be revamping the Ambassador programme. I noticed you can opt in to essentialy provide more legit reviews of titles and updates, guessing it’s randomly sending out codes to people at the moment.

If it came from.the official Xbox account, then you don’t need to worry, its not a scam. They do stuff like this a lot, giving away free stuff to people.

I did a survey for Xbox once and after I was asked a question. “If you were to be compensated for this survey, what game would you choose?” I don’t remember what all of the choices were but I know about a month Ryse Son of Rome showed up on my doorstep. It was awesome.

So, as you can see, depending on your activity on the Xbox platform, you can actually end up with free games from the Xbox Ambassador program. But it seems that it’s a game of luck, sometimes. However, next time you play something on Xbox, and you like it, write a review for the game. You might find yourself lucky enough to get a gift from Xbox.
