The latest Patch Tuesday update, KB5031354, finally brings to Windows 11 many of the hotly anticipated features, including Copilot, Windows 365 Switch, the new Settings menu, and so many more. For a complete breakdown of every feature coming with Moment 4, head over to our article about it.

These updates were part of the September 26 updates, and if you didn’t install that package, you can’t skip this one, as KB5031354 is a mandatory package that brings in important security updates. So you should install it at once. However, the features we mentioned earlier are still optional in this package as well.

But Microsoft is bringing them along in the package, and if you choose to download them, then make sure you turn on the Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available option in Settings. kb5031354

KB5031354 will then install Copilot, the new Settings page, and the other Moment 4 features. However, you should be excited about one feature, in particular.

This Patch Tuesday package brings a new clipboard experience to Windows 11: the ability to copy multiple attachments to your clipboard and prevent them from being removed from the clipboard history.

KB5031354: How to use the new Clipboard features

For starters, you can prevent losing a recent clipboard by pinning it. This way whenever you copy a new attachment, that pinned clipboard will show up when you type in CTRL + V.

How to pin clipboards? It’s easy, here is what you need to do:

  1. Click on the Windows button + V to open the clipboard menu.
  2. Once there, you can notice your most recent clipboards. As you can see, there is now a pin icon on the right side of your clipboard. Click on it to pin the clipboard.kb5031354

After installing KB5031354, Windows 11 will let you pin multiple clipboards, as you can see in the image above. This will prevent the clipboard from being removed from the clipboard history. The best thing about it? They will stay in history, even after rebooting your Windows 11 device.

Elsewhere, KB5031354 brings some important security updates, and it’s imperative you should install this package as soon as possible. You can read all about it in the official Microsoft blog.
