It’s no secret that we are getting closer and closer to the rumored launch date of Windows 11 22H2, also known as the Windows 11 2022 update.

And, as everyone expected, most hardware manufacturers have started pushing their drivers optimized for the newest OS version.

We’re actually talking about AMD Radeon Software drivers that are already updated for Windows 11 22H2, and now it is time for chipset drivers.

Windows 11 gamers already have 22H2 optimized drives

No, this is not a joke or a false alarm, and version 4.08.09.2337 is now available for download from the official website.

Keep in mind that it only brings official support for Windows 11 version 22H2, with no other changes being mentioned.

That being said, we’re going to go over the AMD Windows 22H2 driver changelog once more and get you up to speed with everything that is happening.

• AMD Noise Suppression

• OpenGL® Optimizations
  • Up to 79% increase in performance in Minecraft @ 4k Fabulous settings, using Radeon Software Adrenalin 22.7.1 on the Radeon RX 6950XT, versus the previous software driver version 22.6.1 
  • Up to 75% increase in performance in Minecraft @ 4k Fabulous settings, using Radeon Software Adrenalin 22.7.1 on the Radeon RX 6400, versus the previous software driver version 22.6.1 
     
• Radeon Super Resolution
  • Expanded support for discrete Radeon RX 5000 and 6000 series GPUs on AMD Ryzen 6000 series processor notebooks with hybrid graphics.
  • RSR has been improved to provide a more seamless experience in borderless fullscreen mode with a performance/quality slider to personalize your gaming experience.

Fixes

• Lower than expected [email protected] compute performance with OpenCL API on some AMD Graphics Products such as the Radeon RX 6800.
• Auto Undervolt may disable Zero RPM fan feature.
• Hitman 3 may freeze when rapidly switching between windows in Fullscreen Exclusive mode.
• Video upscaling in browsers appears blurry with some AMD Graphics Products such as the Radeon® RX 6900 XT Graphics.
• Enhanced Sync may cause games to lock to 15FPS with video playback on extended monitors.

Known issues

• Stuttering may be experienced while playing Call of Duty®: Warzone on the Caldera map with some AMD Graphics Products such as the Radeon RX 6900 XT Graphics.
• Radeon Super Resolution may fail to trigger after changing resolution or HDR settings on games such as Nioh 2.
• Virtual Reality headsets may flicker with some AMD Graphics Products such as the Radeon RX 6800 XT Graphics.
• GPU utilization may be stuck at 100% in Radeon performance metrics after closing games on some AMD Graphics Products such as Radeon 570.
• Display may flicker black during video playback plus gameplay on some AMD Graphics Products such as the Radeon RX 6700 XT.
• Enhanced Sync may cause a black screen to occur when enabled on some games and system configurations. Any users who may be experiencing issues with Enhanced Sync enabled should disable it as a temporary workaround.

Another important aspect to take away from this is that the latest AMD Chipset Driver is available for all motherboards compatible with Zen-based processors.

They could be either Ryzen, Athlon, or Threadripper, and include A320, B350, X370, B450, X470, X399, A520, B550, X570, TRX40, and WRX80 chipsets.

Remember that, even though all motherboards with the AM4 and TR4/sTRX4 socket support Windows 11, first-gen Ryzen and Threadripper, seventh-gen AMD A-Series, and Ryzen 2000G do not officially work with Microsoft’s newest OS.

However, users have found a way to bypass this situation using a piece of third-party software called Rufus, just in case you were wondering.
