The new Outlook for Windows is getting offline support for mail action and compose, starting next month, in October 2023.

What does this mean? Well, according to the latest entry in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, you’ll be able to able to view and access your mail, Calendar events, and contacts on Outlook for Windows, even when you’re not connected to the Internet.

The offline support for mail action and compose in Outlook will also allow you to perform various actions to your mail, while offline. For example, you’ll be able to flag, move, delete, and compose messages.

Microsoft says this will allow you to stay productive in every situation.

The first set of offline capabilities in the new Outlook for Windows. Mail, calendar events, and contacts will be stored on your device, so you can view them even when you’re not connected to the internet. Additionally, you can perform key actions on your mail, including flag, move, and delete, and compose messages, to stay productive even when you’re not connected to the internet.

You should know that the offline support works only in the new Outlook for Windows. The rollout for it is scheduled to take place in October.
