If you’re a manager who created a lot of meetings on Outlook, Microsoft is making it easier for you to plan and schedule them. According to a recent addition to the Microsoft 365 roadmap, scheduling meetings in Outlook in different time zones will be much easier now.

When scheduling a meeting with people in different time zones, the organizer will be prompted with additional insights regarding each participant’s respective time zone.

But that’s not all: every time you schedule a meeting with people in different time zones, Outlook will employ a Scheduling assistant to help you find a time that suits all the participants across time zones, effectively taking away all the stress of not knowing which time works best.

And the best news: the feature is scheduled to start its rollout at the end of September, so it’s coming very soon.

Scheduling meetings in Outlook will also become easier from now

While staying on the subject, Microsoft also added another entry in the Microsoft 365 roadmap, regarding scheduling meetings on Outlook.

The Scheduling Assistant, the tool we mentioned earlier that will help you find the best time for everyone across the time zones, will also get an upgrade. The tool will be moved to the toolbar to reduce clicks and a more seamless scheduling experience, Microsoft says.scheduling meetings in outlook in different time zones

These features are a welcomed addition to Outlook, considering the Redmond-based tech giant already has great plans for the app. As you might know, the classic Outlook will reach the end of life in 2025, so Microsoft places all the bets on the new and improved Outlook.

The new Outlook has been around for some time already, and the users have been reticent towards it, but the app will get a lot of features, many of them AI-enhanced, that will possibly change people’s minds about it.

Until then, these features are more than welcome. What do you think about them?
